The donation of…Standing Together
When families arrive at Mac House they often feel alone and anxious.
Your £12 donation could help to fund important ways of bringing people together within our home from home – such as family meals, bingo nights or relaxing in our communal areas with a film and a hot drink.
Being part of a community, knowing that others are going through the same thing can be a great comfort when your child is critically ill.
Our family meals and activities give families a chance to come together, to share stories, build lifelong friendships and develop a valuable support network to share experiences. Our communal areas also offer people a chance to relax and chat over a cuppa, whilst sharing words of comfort.
Your £12 donation could help to fund these important ways of bringing people together within Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey.
Every year Ronald McDonald House Liverpool welcomes over 2000 families of critically ill children who are patients at Alder Hey Hospital into our home from home accommodation. We need to raise £700,000 each year so these families can stay with us free of charge in one of the 84 rooms for as long as their child is in hospital. It’s supporters like you who ensure that no family is separated from their child, or each other, at this difficult time.
You’ll receive an email to acknowledge your donation, as well as a downloadable gift certificate to share if you are giving this as a gift. All donations received from our virtual gift campaign will support the core running of the house, ensuring that families are kept together without worrying about the cost.
