At the end of a long difficult day on the ward with a critically ill child, every parent needs some time to reflect and a welcoming space to call home. At Ronald McDonald House, Liverpool, we are proud that we are able to offer that.
Your £12 donation helps to give a warm welcome to a family when they arrive at Mac House. Tea, coffee and biscuits in their bedroom so they can enjoy a cuppa as they rest, and a welcome pack of toiletries for those families who arrive in just the clothes they are standing in, after an unexpected emergency admittance.
Every year Ronald McDonald House Liverpool welcomes over 2000 families of critically ill children who are patients at Alder Hey Hospital into our home from home accommodation. We need to raise £700,000 each year so these families can stay with us free of charge in one of the 84 rooms for as long as their child is in hospital. It’s supporters like you who ensure that no family is separated from their child, or each other, at this difficult time.
You’ll receive an email to acknowledge your donation, as well as a downloadable gift certificate to share with them. All donations received from our virtual gift campaign will support the core running of the house, ensuring that families are kept together without worrying about the cost.
