Ronald Mcdonald House Liverpool House Made Us Welcome

A huge thankyou to the Williams family for sharing their #MacHouseFamilyStory

“I just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Ronald Mcdonald House, Liverpool for helping us through our journey with our little girl.

When she was born in Bangor hospital in Wales, we thought everything was going ok, but 6 hours after she was born she took a turn for the worst and she turned blue. She was rushed to Alder Hey hospital to have open heart surgery.

She had two heart surgeries before she was 4 weeks old, and we stayed in Ronald Mcdonald House Liverpool for 6 weeks while she was on the road to recovery. She came home on 24hr oxygen, until she was about 10 months old, when she had another open heart surgery. I just want to say a massive thank you to you all for making us feel very welcome, letting us stay with you while Alder Hey were saving my daughters life.

Kelsi my daughter is now 20 months old and she has gone from a ‘blue baby’ to a very ‘pink baby!’ She is not on 24hr oxygen anymore and she won’t need further surgery until she’s around 15 years old. She is doing amazing, and I will never ever forget my time here. I won’t forget all the nice chats I had with the staff and the nights when we all had free cakes and pastries. What a fantastic team you have at Ronald Mcdonald House Liverpool. Once again thank you so much it means everything.”
