For anyone who was unable to attend our Glitterball celebrations, here is a short film of the night, made by Edwin Pink for Mac House. You can catch a glimpse of our dancers and our brilliant judging panel (who were much kinder to our dancers than the judges on Strictly are!)
Big thanks to all of our supporters who attended on Friday night, and what a night it was! The red carpet was rolled out to welcome our guests, who were entertained by local magician David Burgess. The red carpet was certainly the hottest place to be, when he set his wallet on fire!
After just ten dance classes, dance teacher Zoe Gerrard managed to put together some cracking routines for our Glitter Ball dancers, who impressed the judges with their newly aquired moves. The costumes our dancers put together were fantastic, especially the sequinned Cha Cha Cha shirts worn by John Lowe and Sean Paul Redding. ‘Bellissimo!’
The auction on the night raised a fantastic £5,000 for Mac House, the star lot was the exclusive diamond pendant, kindly donated by David M Robinson, which raised a whopping £3,000 on the night. Another auction star was the pair of Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ python heeled pumped, donated and signed by Kate Moss which raised £550, from one happy bidder.
There was dancing, music, laughter and more importantly, funds raised for us to keep up the good work done for so many families at Ronald McDonald House, Alder hey.
Thankyou to everyone who came, who bought raffle tickets and bid on auction prizes. The work we do can only be done with your help. Thankyou from us – and from the families who we help.
Our guest magician, David Burgess, set the room alight! As did Sean and John with their matching glitzy outfits.
No party is complete without a dance circle! Lots of fun.
