Yes it really is ‘Strictly for Everyone’
Ronald McDonald House celebrates its 25th anniversary this autumn, with an all dancing and singing night of entertainment at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel. The independent charity, which provides accommodation for families of critically ill children who are patients at Alder Hey children’s hospital, is extending a public invitation to ‘The Glitter Ball – Strictly for Everyone’ which will take place on Friday October 5th.
Around 30 couples, including many faces from Liverpool’s business community, will take part in the dance off, before enjoying dinner and entertainment.
Fundraising Manager at Ronald McDonald House Gillian Wilson said: “Our upcoming Glitter Ball is the perfect opportunity to recognise the great work Mac House does for parents, carers and children from across the North West. The charity has provided a place to stay and support to over 32,000 families who have faced some of the hardest days of their lives and ‘The Glitter Ball – Strictly For Everyone’ is set to be a night to remember as we celebrate 25 years of Mac House, and also raise vital funds to contribute to the running of the house.”
In the run-up to the event, the charity has partnered with Liverpool based dance troupe MD Productions, previously seen on ‘Britain’s Got talent,’ to offer free dances lessons to guests who would like to take part in the dance off.
Gillian added: “As an independent charity, our main source of income is through fundraising and donations. In order to keep Mac House running, we need to raise £600,000 each year, and with 84 rooms we have a lot of families depending on us. To accommodate a family overnight costs us just £25 so the event is a chance for our guests to make a difference to the lives of many, all whilst having lots of fun.”
‘The Glitter Ball – Strictly For Everyone’ will take place from 7pm on Friday, October 5th at The Rum Warehouse, Titanic Hotel, Liverpool.
Tickets are priced at £80 each
