HOW TO HELP
This is a chance for organisations – large and well known across the region, or smaller and local, to have a strong relationship with the House and actively make a difference by raising funds that may be supporting the cost of families staying with us and making more stays possible. It could also be very specific directed fundraising that makes a very visible impact in the house such as funding specific equipment in the kitchen and family social areas, or our lovely garden and children’s play area or sponsoring a bedroom for a year.
FUNDRAISING GROUPS
Fundraising Groups are a great way to get involved and it’s wonderful to become part of a group that raising funds to help our families and their kids stay together, close by, when a child and sibling is being treated at Alder Hey Hospital.
These Groups are a fun, relaxed, friendly and very social way of getting involved with Mac House. You might set a target for a year, organise and deliver your own fundraising activity which could be anything from collecting at a local supermarket, selling cakes from a stall at a local event, or helping out on one our own events. People of all ages, from all backgrounds, working or retired, come together to form a group that has one thing in mind – making a difference for Mac House and our families who cannot stay with us without your support.
TESTIMONIALS
“Foresters International members have thoroughly enjoyed getting together and supporting Mac House in a number of ways, most visibly has been our days spent revamping the lovely Mac House garden and doing some essential maintenance of the area. Via a grant available to our members from Foresters for charitable work, we have been able to make a difference you can really see first hand and it has been an absolute joy to get involved with this amazing charity.”
