Welcome to our 25th Anniversary page, where you will find information on our activities and events planned to celebrate our special milestone. We have different events planned which will help us raise much needed funds for Mac House and celebrate 25 years of our amazing charity supporting well over 30,000 families since we opened our doors in 1993.
Our feature event of the Anniversary year is the Mac House Glitter Ball at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool which is going to be a very special night. Read more below about how forty couples who have been busy learning their dances over the past few weeks, will compete before you for the Mac House Glitter Ball Trophy.
Is your company or organisation 25 years old in 2018 ? Why not celebrate with us in a Charity of the Year partnership?
Are you 25 years old during 2018 ? Why not mark the special day by helping to support the House that Love Built and have a fundraiser for us or attend one of our events during the year?
Please have a look at all of our fundraising activities and celebrations and call us 0151 252 5869 to discuss, or email on Gillian.Wilson@rmhliverpool.org.uk or Denise.Byrne@rmhliverpool.org.uk
Royally Good Day Out
Our Royal Birkdale golf day was a huge success, and all of our golfers enjoyed teeing off on the famous Royal Birkdale course. Many thanks to our golfers who support us every year on this event, which is always great fun. Some have already booked for next year!
On 7th May we celebrated the exact day that Mac House was opened, 25 years ago, with a tea party for families past and present. We had a fantastic time, with friends old and new, and plenty of lovely treats! The young ones were kept entertained by our brilliant children’s entertainers, and enjoyed popcorn and candy floss. Big thanks to The Marriott for arranging a lovely afternoon tea for us all.
We even made it onto TV, as BBC North West tonight joined us and chatted with our families. We look forward to more events to celebrate our fantastic milestone!
Lady Stoddart Honoured
Mac House was delighted to unveil a permanent tribute to our founder, Lady Jean Stoddart OBE, who passed away earlier this year. In a fitting tribute, her daughter Jenny was joined by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool alongside staff, volunteers, trustees and invited guests to celebrate the work Lady Stoddart did for us at Mac House. A truly remarkable lady, who our charity will never forget.
A group of our supporters got their hiking boots on to raise funds for Mac House in our 25th year.
Congratulations to ‘Team Blundell’ from various McDonald stores across Liverpool who hiked up Snowden and raised £4,000 for our charity. Brilliant job!
