Charity of the Year Partnerships are a crucial means of support for our families
If you choose Mac House as your nominated charity of the year, it will be a partnership that promotes a positive image to clients and the public, increase staff motivation through participation in fundraising events that are fun, meaningful, and delivers outcomes you can see first hand. Nothing beats knowing, that thanks to your company and your team, more families get to stay together, close to their child, brother or sister, as they go through one of the toughest times of their lives.
Our charity of the year partnerships offer the chance to be involved, not just in raising vital funds to help families and their children, but also to be involved in the life of Mac House. Improved staff morale and team work are two reasons often quoted to us by companies who we work with, as added value from their involvement with Mac House. There are a huge number of ways to support us, take a look at the list of ideas on this page and read the feedback from companies who have been, or already are, involved. Your team can add their own ideas and approach and we know that this ‘ownership’ of the fundraising effort is one of the reasons companies enjoy working with Mac House.
“We chose Mac House as our 16/17 Charity of the Year because team members were aware of the large numbers of families from Warrington who stay in the house, and told us how much of a lifeline it was for them at a really difficult and stressful time. We loved working with the fundraising team from Mac House and their enthusiastic and professional volunteers who bag packed and collected whilst always engaging with our customers. It’s been no surprise to see them quickly invited back to M&S Gemini for some one-off collection opportunities.”
Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre – Charity of the year partner 2016-2017
“What we we loved about getting involved with Mac House in a Charity of the Year partnership was the way the charity has engaged with our team members, encouraging the different teams within the hotel to come up with their own ideas and adding a bit of fun and competition into things. We had teams making and selling cakes and others being sponsored for exercise sessions on the dock! The whole hotel became part of this and we are so pleased we were able to raise funds along with the positive impact it has on our business. Very proud to be part of helping families in our community.”
Maxwell Hodge – Charity of the year partner 2017-2018
“Maxwell Hodge are delighted to have become involved in a Charity of the Year partnership with Ronald McDonald House Liverpool. Our eight offices all have families in their area who have been helped by the charity at a really tough time for them. Our team are delighted by the different ways we can work together to raise vital funds for the house, and also benefit ourselves from some team building activities. It’s a really engaging and lively partnership that is fun to be involved with but also very clearly makes a huge difference to families.”
Cyberfrog Design Liverpool – donated the design & build of our website and support our ongoing website use and development.
“Cyberfrog Design were really pleased to be able to donate our time and expertise in the creation and build of this website, something which was much needed as the charity didn’t have a professionally designed website presence before. We visited the house and immediately we knew we wanted to help. Our whole team has been involved and we love the way our support plays a part in telling the world just how amazing this charity is. We would recommend any business, large or small, to get involved supporting this charity that is there for families and their children when it matters most. This really is a ‘house that love built.'”
Bolland and Lowe – actively supporting Mac House with a number of fundraising events and professional creative design and marketing input.
“Bolland and Lowe are one of the North’s leading creative agencies and we especially wanted to be involved with a charity that has both local and North West Regional reach and a strong focus on families. We have loved doing events for the house, our hugely popular ‘cake-off’ event looks like becoming an annual event. We are proud to be a big part of the 25th Anniversary Year committee and see this partnership as a classic win win relationship.”
Business Network International – supporting Mac House’s membership of the BNI new Chapter of the year, ‘Atlantic’ based in Liverpool.
“BNI Atlantic is delighted to have Mac House as one of our members and it’s great to see how our entire Chapter has welcomed the charity which is much respected for its professionalism and enthusiasm. We have members from all sorts of successful local businesses who have supported Mac House in many different ways, as a priority raising much needed funds, but also helping out in the house with maintenance and providing discounted services. We get a lot from this relationship as the charities experienced professional fundraising manager plays a full part in our referral and recommendation activities and is also now a mentor to new members.”

McDonalds restaurants across our area are loyal and enthusiastic supporters of Mac House through their amazing ‘crew’ who personally volunteer to help us out at our collections, bag packs, events and ‘deep cleans’ in Mac House itself.
